The successful temporary Project Manager will be responsible for managing prAna’s ecommerce replatform technology project and subprojects from initiation through closing and stabilization.  The temporary Project Manager is expected to provide program leadership and communication, partner with cross-functional departments, and provide oversight of all project activities to enable maximum value throughout each of the projects’ lifecycles.  S/he will ensure all business and project goals are identified and met. The position coordinates cross-functional resources, establishes and manages project timelines, communication and deliverables and ensures clarity of roles. The temporary Project Manager position will end approximately June 2019. 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


1)  Project Management

  • Work with stakeholders to thoroughly define all aspects of a project’s functional requirements
  • Develop project and development schedules based on requirements, accurate scoping of level of effort, and the availability of resources
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrate understanding of the complexity of various requirements, and follow-up with internal and third-party resources
  • Identify and partner with project teams and stakeholders to keep work on-track
  • Monitor and report project status’ in the areas of schedule, risks, issues, and project change requests
  • Communicate with Projects’ Sponsors, stakeholders, and other Leaders
  • Monitor resource utilization and alignment with project execution
  • Coordinate integration / test activities
  • Provide problem solving, root cause analysis and preventive / corrective actions as required to support the project or program

2)  Change Management Support
  • Document current state process flows, work streams and resource owners
  • Gain stakeholder approval on current state
  • Partner with internal change management resources (prAna HR and CSC Org Development team) to identify change impact and develop an integrated change management project plan for designated ecommerce technology projects
  • Facilitate change readiness assessments to inform plan success and need for adjustment
  • Coordinate project training and communication in partnership with internal change management resources
  • Support stakeholder engagement and training activities for impacted individuals and teams


Perform other duties as assigned.



Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or Management Information Systems preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience
  • Project Management training and PMP certification highly preferred
  • Experienced in working with a highly matrixed organization and able to manage multiple streams of work
  • Proven strong leadership and communications skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of software implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Direct experience working with ecommerce and web content management platforms; working knowledge and experience with ecommerce operations
  • Professional experience with industry standard project management tools
  • Experience with project estimating, scheduling/planning, and tracking methods
  • Experience with business requirements gathering processes and use cases
  • Experience conducting effective project meetings with cross-functional group of employees to achieve goals
  • Ability to organize and document projects, budgets, and schedules
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of large-scale Agile, Business and Technical Infrastructure implementations
  • Ability to define and execute project principles, procedures, methodologies, and toolsets
  • Have a positive outlook to energize and motivate people & teams

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the roles and limits of web technologies such as HTML, Javascript, and server-side technologies
  • Proficient with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with mobile sites or responsive websites
  • Basic HTML and Javascript knowledge (i.e. comprehension of syntax and where to place code)
  • Basic understanding of enterprise data structure

Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional domestic travel to Columbia Sportswear Company in Portland, OR.
