prAna’s sales grew at a compound annual growth rate of more than 30 percent between 2010 and 2013, and prAna was acquired by Columbia Sportswear Company (CSC) in June, 2014. prAna is now part of the family of brands in the Columbia portfolio, including Mountain Hardwear and Sorel. prAna is headquartered in Carlsbad, California and operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Sportswear Company, with Russ Hopcus as the Brand President. 
 
Overview of the Position: The Traffic Specialist is an integral member of the Creative and Marketing teams that manages creative traffic across wholesale, retail, web, and print. The position is primarily responsible for project trafficking, project management and information coordination as well as other administration functions such as material tracking, budget reconciliation, invoicing and maintaining marketing department archives. The Traffic Specialist works with various departments and individuals to ensure materials and resources flow through the company in a timely manner.  
 
He/she must have excellent planning skills and the ability to anticipate problems and develop a plan of action to prevent delays in the organization's workflow. He/she must communicate with individuals at different levels in the organization and may be required to prepare budget and progress reports for 
upper management. He/she must have strong ability to engage a variety of stakeholders, including creative, marketers, product teams, senior leadership, and external vendors to achieve goals. 
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
 
1. Planning, Coordination, Communication: a. Develop timelines and shepherd fast paced projects to successful outcomes b. Monitor and manage schedules for marketing and creative teams to ensure deliverables are on time c. Plan and conduct efficient meetings, project reviews, and kick off meetings d. Coordinate tasks and follow up on action items e. Manage expectations and ensure clear communications between marketing team and cross- functional partners f. Coordinate production, prepress and print quality management services with print vendors g. Ensure all resources and budget allocations meet the scope of work for each project h. Effective communicate, verbally and in writing, regarding the needs to the creative and marketing team, and cross functional teams 
 
2.   Managing Schedule & Hours: a. Collaborate with the creative team planning efforts to balance workload and meet deadlines b. Facilitate and present at weekly Work In Progress (WIP) meeting to review upcoming projects c. Provide weekly update to Art Directors of new projects and work together to assign projects to designers & copywriters  
 
 
3.   Scope & Risk Management:  a. Monitor scope creep & communicate job issues including but not limited to risks to schedules, costs, and quality on a timely basis. Actively seek and communicate mitigation opportunities and solutions b. Diplomatically enforce deadlines and problem solve in an efficient and professional manner 
 
4. Documentation: a. Attend kickoff meetings and document action items to initiate new projects b. Provide team with long term calendar view of upcoming milestones as well as monthly updates on project status to regional office c. Maintain archive of print samples for future reference 
 
5. Process Improvement: a. Identify and recommend process improvements, as needed b. Education and Experience Requirements 
• 3–5 years of experience managing projects in a fast-paced, high volume design or marketing 
environment 
• Working knowledge and experience in wholesale, retail, web, and print marketing helpful 
 

 Technical Knowledge, Skills or Experience 
• Understanding of online and social media 
• Understanding of basic graphic design and basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/InDesign
 • Proficient in both Windows and Macintosh operating systems 
• Have strong project management skills and great attention to detail, managing multiple projects (up to 30) at one time, keeping projects on strategy, on schedule and on budget
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Jira and other project management software 
• Proficient in software such as Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat and In-Design 
• Understanding of basic graphic design and basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/InDesign 
• Must have vendor management experience, have gone on press runs, can manage specs, timelines, budgets and can keep a design team on track
