  • Minimum of 6-8 years garment design/development work experience in the apparel industry, as well as 3+ years management/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge/experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Specific work experience within the outdoor industry and apparel category strongly desired.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of apparel design and development with technical attributes of performance, product materials and production techniques.
  • Possess knowledge of merchandising procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of computer design software and specifically Adobe Illustrator and InDesign as well as the talent and ability to perform free hand drawings.
  • Possess well-developed written and verbal communication skills; ability to write technical material for clear product presentation and marketing.  Frequent writing of highly technical material requires thorough understanding of work and ability to clearly express complex concepts in written form.
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment with a high level of adaptability.  Ability to conduct complex interpersonal interactions with employees and customers, troubleshoot, design, coordinate and perform special task/projects simultaneously, make decisions, operate independently and with discretion, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Possess training skills when working with prototype production operations and subordinate employees.
  • Must possess excellent eyesight with strong sense of color.
