The North America Ecommerce Operations Fulfillment Analyst for Columbia Sportswear will be responsible for helping improve operations and fulfillment capabilities for the North America ecommerce business.  This position will play a pivotal role in enhancing the consumer experience by improving speed to deliver and reducing fulfillment operational costs.   This role will also be responsible for collaborating with teams to develop, execute, and support new and improved processes and capabilities.

 

This is a hands-on role where initiative, energy, and the ability to build relationships and work across functions and third parties are critical to success.

 
 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic projects to improve efficiency in the ecommerce supply chain such as opportunities to increase speed to ship, speed to deliver, reduce operations and freight costs and optimize packaging in order to provide a superior consumer experience 
  • Apply network modelling to evaluate the impact of ecommerce decisions such as fulfillment sites,  supplier/vendor/carrier selection and returns improvements
  • Develop and document logistics strategy for inbound and outbound product flow and the management of inventory
  • Responsible for weekly scorecarding of current state ecommerce operations with focus on on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery, DC performance, carrier performance and freight  effectiveness
  • Partner with carriers on implementing the latest innovation on improving shipping and fulfillment options
  • Partner with the digital technology team to implement consumer facing changes related to optimizing shipping options
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining holiday readiness strategy, orchestration, and communication
  • Lead group and individual cross functional sessions to gather and elicit information on supply chain business processes and to align processes with changing business conditions
  • Responsible for business process and data flows to identify gaps, key integration points, and validate issues
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement functional and/or technical solutions to achieve the desired end state
  • Accountable for functional testing activities, including writing end-to-end scenarios, data coordination and preparation, test execution, defect follow-up, and resolution

Specific Job Skills:


  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem solving abilities in fulfillment, operations and ecommerce, incorporating financial, quality, and consumer satisfaction considerations
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment and individually, across various teams and levels within the organization
  • Ability to make judgment decisions and demonstrate consistent follow through
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in Process Redesign Methodology: Six Sigma or Lean desired.


Experience:


  • 8+ years’ experience in ecommerce fulfillment and operations within a distribution environment
  • Experience designing, testing, and implementing IT solutions and new business processes throughout the supply chain
